MRAG Maitland Regional Art Gallery

MRAG Art Parties are designed for creative kids aged 5-12.

MRAG Art Parties aim to make each party special for each birthday child, so when you come to book in, we take notes on art activities and games geared around your child's interests.

Our parties cover: venue hire; decorations; party games, art materials and art activities; party host/s in costume and art party bags for all child guests. Catering can also be easily arranged (additional costs apply). MRAG will even give the birthday child a free membership to the art gallery worth $15.

While our parties are a fun and creative experience for kids – they‘re designed for parents too – you’ll receive a party pack which includes themed party invitations and a schedule for the special day. Our party hosts take charge on the day, and all you have to do is bring the kids. Adult guests are free of charge.

Venue

Maitland Regional Art Gallery 230 High St Maitland. Our parties are hosted in the MRAG art workshops and/or the backyard.

When

MRAG can host Art Parties on most Saturdays (exhibition and program schedule permitting). The party can either be a morning tea or afternoon tea style event. (10:30am – 12:30pm, or 2-4pm)

Duration

An MRAG art party runs for 2 hours, and includes 1-3 specially designed creative activities depending on the age of our guests. We plan the day’s art activities according to your child’s age and interests, so each party is special.

Catering

MRAG gives parents the option to self-cater, or to organise catering through Séraphine the art gallery café. MRAG cannot accept catering from outside caterers. The cost of catering is additional to the costs outlined below, and is coordinated through Séraphine (4934 7264).

Cost

• Up to 10 children: $220 (inc GST)
• 11-20 children: $440 (inc GST)

Costs are structured around a 1:10 ratio of kids to hosts. (While we do take control of the day, we do ask for at least two parents to take on supervisory assistance if required.)

Additional children may be approved, at a rate of $22 (inc GST) per head. Talk to the MRAG staff member coordinating your party for details.
