Subject and Association DescriptionLindsay had a deep adoration of Spain and he created a large volume of work focusing on the country. In this work we witness everyday life with a Spanish twist. The bull herder mounted on horseback leads his charge over a solid stone bridge. The symbolic strength of the bridge is mirrored in the Spanish bull fighting tradition.
