Self-Guided Visit to MRAG (free)
Visiting MRAG is free of charge where teachers are confident to coordinate their own school visits.
The MRAG team are available to assist in the planning process for self-coordinated school visits.
Teaching in front of an object in an art gallery or a museum or a zoo – or anywhere – is a very different experience to teaching in a classroom of kids. On the one hand there is an element of performance involved which can be daunting but on the other hand there is a much easier connection to the subject matter and a refreshing change of learning environment.
Please do remember to call ahead and inform us of your visit.
By getting in touch with us we can help you plan your visit so that you and your students get the most out of it and we can also ensure that there aren’t any disruptions to your time at the gallery. We can also point out relevant artists and artworks in the gallery at the time and how reference to them might be incorporated into your visit.
