Courage to Care

June 4 2016 — July 17 2016

courage2carephotoCourage to Care is a community outreach initiative that demonstrates the importance of standing up to bullying and prejudice whenever it occurs, delivered through an educational program supported by a travelling exhibition. It educates visitors towards an understanding of the roles of victim, perpetrator and bystander by exposing them to survivors of the Holocaust and their rescuers. These living historians’ share their experiences with visitors, emphasizing the story of rescue and support provided by others.

Courage to Care empowers its participants to take positive action in relation to discrimination and bullying in all forms, from the schoolyard to the workplace and beyond – not to be bystanders, but to make a difference whenever possible.

The Courage to Care Education Program is being presented across both floors of the MRAG Art Factory exhibition space over the next four weeks of the current school term. This means that the Art Factory exhibition space adjacent to Seraphine Café is closed to the public from Monday 30 May until Friday 1 July. The Art Factory exhibition spaces will re-open on Saturday 2 July with a variety of Courage to Care art activities for children and people of all ages. We encourage you to visit Courage to Care at MRAG.
