Having studied art at the University of Western Sydney and later Monash Fiona has worked as both an artist and a curator for many years. Her exhibition history includes many non-gallery sites such as for Cementa 13 Kandos Museum, house museums such as Susannah Place, natural history museums such at the Canterbury Museum in Christchurch NZ and public parkland such as Parramatta Park in Sydney. She has exhibited in a wide range of regional galleries in Australia and a number of galleries overseas including the Adam in Wellington in NZ, the UCA Gallery in the UK and Persembe Pazari in Istanbul.  Her previous curatorial practice has primarily revolved around Western Sydney, both in non-art sites and the regional galleries in the region.
