Home-school art class is a great way to enhance a child's home-school experience. Classes are presented by MRAG Art Tutors in our safe and accessible art workshop space. Students explore a wide range of art-making activities linked to artworks currently on exhibition at the gallery. They are also encouraged to let their imaginations run wild and to have fun being creative. At MRAG we offer engaging social tours of current exhibitions and art spaces, tailored specifically for people living with dementia and their carers. The tours are guided by art therapist, Nicole Lemaitre who delivers a program which encourages discussions, self expression, stories, and laughter, enabling visitors to express their thoughts and emotions. An exciting new preschool program will be starting in 2018 at Maitland Regional Art Gallery (MRAG). The creative learning team have been working with Playgroup NSW to establish a new art playgroup in Maitland at the art gallery.
