Maitland Regional Art Gallery is pleased to present Opportunity Shop the exhibition, the Farrow Wyatt Annual exhibition.

Maitland is renowned for its opportunity shops, and Maitland Regional Art Gallery (MRAG) is proud of its innovative exhibitions. To celebrate this duopoly MRAG presents Opportunity Shop, an exhibition which provides a taste of the creativity, delight and commentary that can emerge from objects, items and all matter found, sold, available and enticing in op shops. The exhibition also offers another chapter in the art gallery’s Maitland Stories: projects that invite engagement with different aspects of life in Maitland, past and present.  In the hands of Fiona Davies who has curated the exhibition, op shop becomes a subject and an exhibition that will enthral the viewer. There is much to see, observe and even listen to. Op shop welcomes and is a destination.

The exhibition which takes over the whole MRAG facility and features artworks from 14 national and international artists: Nicole Barakat, Cath Bowen, Fiona Davies, Sarah Goffman, Fiona Hall, Donna Marcus, Kiri Morcombe,  Luke Roberts, Lee Rogers, Surabhi Saraf, Louise Saxton, David Sequeira, Maeve Woods, The Modified Toy Orchestra, Toy Death, and Raqs Media Collective.
