School group drop-ins to Luke Thurgate drawing The Maitland Archive

Ready your items and bring your school group to meet Luke Thurgate in The Maitland Archive.

This session is design for school groups to visit exhibition The Maitland Archive with items for Luke Thurgate to incorporate into his community artwork and growing exhibition.

In The Maitland Archive, artist Luke Thurgate will use wall drawing to create a relational dialogue with members of Maitland’s community. He will create an evolving wall drawing in the gallery space based on small, non-precious objects brought in by Maitland community members that embody individual memories and personal narratives. The objects contributed by community members will be displayed in the space surrounded by Luke’s drawings for the duration of the project.
