Spin Poi Workshop
October 9 | 10:30 am — 11:30 am AEDT
Come play poi with Wolf and Kiki. You are going to move, spin, giggle, play and learn.
Poi is a simple, fun, and effective way to engage children of all ages and abilities. Help kids develop key physical and cognitive skills. Poi is a weight on a cord, and poi spinning is the act of spinning that weight in circles around your body. It’s super simple and it’s lots of fun. An affordable and scientifically proven activity to help your brain and body feel amazing. Poi originated with the Māori people of Aotearoa, New Zealand. It is a cultural treasure, taonga, still practised today. Spin Poi is a variation to that cultural art form.
