Weaving Workshop by The Unusual Pear at Maitland Regional Art Gallery

Learn the skills to make your very own contemporary hand woven wall hanging using fair trade hand dyed and hand spun yarns, taught by Rainie of The Unusual Pear.  

 In this workshop you will learn:
– How to warp your loom
– Various types of weaving techniques to create interesting patterns and textures
– The crucial technique of taking your finished piece off your loom

 Each workshop will have a limited number of bookings, meaning there will be time to have one on one assistance with your piece, as you need it

 What you receive:
– 3 hour intensive workshop
– FSC certified bamboo weaving loom
– FSC certified bamboo weaving needle
– plastic tapestry needle
– FSC certified bamboo weaving comb
– 50g pack of hand dyed and spun wool yarns
– 10g hank of hand dyed wool roving
– 10g ball of cotton warp
– 2 page beginners weaving guide
