Education

MRAG Education aims to provide students of all ages with access to art, artists and object-based learning. MRAG is a fantastic local resource for educators; not only for its exhibitions and art collection, but for its public spaces, big backyard and workshop spaces.

Essentially, for educators and large groups it boils down to self-guided (free) visits, and coordinated specialised (paid) visits. Paid visits cater for students of all ages, developing specialised tours and art workshops for preschool children, engaging primary and secondary students in enjoyable, round-robin style activities and working with tertiary educators and groups on special projects. But free visits are probably our favourite – we love to support teachers to develop their own visit schedules and activities, so visiting the art gallery is a cheap and educational experience.

To keep up to date with exhibitions, new ideas and gallery information, sign up to one or all our e-lists.
