Students & Schools

Get students inspired with self-guided or Gallery devised tours and experiences, plus exclusive access on Education Mondays and Wednesday Studio for senior students!

There is much for students to engage with at Maitland Regional Art Gallery! Taking students from the classroom to the art gallery provides valuable context and meaning to the work they do at school. Seeing art in person or hearing directly from the artists is a wonderful educational opportunity.

School visits are free please Contact Us and we will help you plan your visit.

  • Special collaborative projects

Workshops can be arranged for your students and are designed and delivered by our art educators using current exhibitions as stimulus aligned to  current curriculum outcomes.
The workshop fee including all materials is $150 for 15 students or less; for class groups larger than 15,  the fee is $10 per extra student.  Please contact the gallery to discuss your proposed workshop.

EDUCATION MONDAYS – Exclusive school access

Despite being closed to the public on Mondays, in 2023 during each school term we would be delighted to welcome teachers and students for exclusive Gallery access, workshops or self-directed activities. The Cafe will remain closed on Mondays, so there’s plenty of space indoors for your lunch or breakout sessions, in addition to our spacious Gallery Garden.

Bookings essential. Contact Us to confirm your visit.
