Showcase No 3 is the third annual exhibition at Maitland Regional Art Gallery (MRAG) of current artworks made by Year 7-12 students from High Schools in the Maitland-Lower Hunter area. This exhibition will include a current and dynamic variety of works, offering young artists the chance to demonstrate their unique ideas, processes and creative explorations to gallery visitors. Limited only by their imagination, these students are encouraged to experiment with a wide variety of media, from traditional two-dimensional works through to sculpture, photography and digital media.

Showcase is an initiative of MRAG, and aims to foster young talent within the region by partnering with local schools. We also offer teachers the opportunity to nominate talented students to participate in intensive workshops held at the Gallery to extend their skills and empower their creativity. The standard of works submitted to SHOWCASE increases annually, and SHOWCASE 3 promises to exceed previous expectations by delivering imaginative and progressive works of art, reflecting life as seen through the lens of youth.
