Engaging and dynamic opportunities for Educators to connect and be inspired

Educators and their students are always welcome at Maitland Regional Art Gallery, where they can experience  free exhibitions and self-directed opportunities. We also offer seasonal programs and we can work with you to design professional development opportunities for you and your peers.

Educator Events

Throughout the year, we host a range of events specifically for teachers and educators. These include networking events, artist talks and workshops.

Professional Development

The Gallery coordinates artist-led workshops and demonstrations which provide teachers with opportunities to expand their knowledge. We invite local and national artists to present one-off special events for teachers providing valuable insight into an artist’s professional practice.

Educator briefings

Throughout the year selected exhibitions are targeted with an education focus. To coincide with the opening of the exhibition, teachers are invited to the Gallery for refreshments, to network with colleagues and hear speakers describe the educational opportunities on offer. These events are a great way to catch up with colleagues and gather resources.
