ARTEXPRESS is an annual collaborative exhibition that aims to highlight exceptional works of art from graduating students of government and non-government high schools in NSW.

Maitland Regional Art Gallery (MRAG) is proud to host ARTEXPRESS for the third consecutive year and display a selection of these works from the 2014 Higher School Certificate. The Maitland ARTEXPRESS exhibition will feature works made predominantly within Hunter-Central Coast schools. Each ARTEXPRESS exhibition is unique, as it reflects the students’ individual explorations of concepts such as culture and personal identity, presented in a wide variety of expressive forms.

In conjunction with ARTEXPRESS, MRAG will be hosting a series of workshops and forums for students that focus on new and diverse processes of creating artworks. ARTEXPRESS is a joint venture of the Department of Education and the Board of Studies, Teaching and Educational Standards NSW.
