Freshwater / Saltwater: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Prints
March 11 2011 — May 1 2011
An Australian National Maritime Museum Travelling Exhibition.
Prints from the Australian National Maritime Museum’s collection commemorate the rich living relationship between Indigenous people and water in Australia. The vivid representations of marine life and environments celebrate the survival of their communities and their struggle for land and sea rights and justice.
This exhibition is supported by the National Collecting Institutions Touring and Outreach Program, and Australian Government program aiming to improve access to the national collection for all Australians.
