Have you ever felt there’s a better way to manage consumption in our area?

Have you heard about the circular economy and wonder what exactly that involves?

Have you wondered what it might take to unlock solutions to our biggest challenges?

This is the kickstart you need to get yourself empowered to change the way we live, share and connect

This workshop covers:

Rethinking Waste (For Good):

  • The state of waste and litter in our area in 2021
  • The circular economy: what is it and how it works
  • 10 exciting ways you can incorporate the circular economy into your community this year

PLUS

Design Thinking for the Planet:

How might we tackle some of the challenges we see in our community. We’ll teach you how to unlock the solutions to our community’s biggest challenges one step at a time.

Join our free, interactive workshops with co-founder of Good for the Hood, Jo Taranto. Jo has worked with ABC’s War on Waste and Fight for Planet A: Our Climate Challenge and has seen communities all over Australia taking action to make cleaner, kinder and more sustainable choices.

These workshops are interactive and will ask for your participation for the best outcomes. A pre course survey and the link to join will be sent closer to the event.

This event is an initiative of Maitland City Council and the Hunter Joint Region of Councils who are proudly working with the community to harness the good and create sustainable change.
