Maitland Regional Art Gallery Artist Bursary

An initiative made possible through MRAG Membership
Maitland Regional Art Gallery (MRAG) with the generous financial support of the MRAG Members, is pleased to be supporting local artists.
In response to the challenges brought about and experienced by artists in 2020, MRAG will offer direct financial support for two visual artists living within a 100km radius of the Maitland LGA and one artist collective operating within the LGA.
The opportunity is an initiative of the MRAG Members Committee, who recognise the important role artists play for the Gallery and our community. Their support has provided the initial offer of Artist Bursaries of $5,000 for each of the two successful visual artists and $3,000 for the collective.
This bursary is for the express purpose of supporting artists. No presentation outcomes are expected, however successful applicants may be invited to engage in digital, educational or public engagement opportunities presented by the Gallery.
MRAG continues to advocate for artists by supporting creative exchange and cultural services to the community. This initiative provides the opportunity to champion artistic excellence and support the ongoing development of artists in our region.
Applications close Wednesday 31 March at 5.00pm AEDT.
