Body parts sculpture workshop with artist Barbie Procobis for young people 15 – 24 years

July 20 | 10:00 am3:00 pm AEST

15 -24 years

Have you ever wanted you learn how to make realistic sculptures from polymer clay? If you have this workshop is for you!

Using a range of tools and media, participants will learn how to sculpt and colour polymer clay, specifically the material ‘sculpey.’

They will develop an understanding of the aims of realism with reference to Ron Mueck’s Pregnant woman, whilst learning skills needed to execute them including relief, additive and subtractive techniques. This will be achieved through the use of a variety of tools, especially to create details in the sculpture.

Participants will take home skills that can be applied to their own sculptures or drawings, as well as a finished artwork.

Proudly supported by NSW Government
