Cyanotype is a photographic printing process that produces a cyan-blue print. It’s safe, simple and easy to use, all that’s needed is chemistry and sunlight.

In this workshop participants will use personal items, jewellery, ribbons or toys to create a photographic image utilising the process of Cyanotype (blue printing). Participants will see images created, learn about the process and be able to participate in the creation of their own unique cyanotype photographs. All you need is your imagination and light.

This is a hands-on workshop where you will coat your own paper, apply object to create a photogram and expose your print outside in the sun.

• Wear old clothes or BYO apron

• Bring along small objects to fit A5 and A4 paper and smaller for example a doily, small flowers, jewellery or small toys.

• We will be outside in the sun for some of the workshop, weather permitting, bring a hat and sunscreen
