Members Event: Holly McNamee in-conversation

Just for members, on the exhibitions final day join artist Holly McNamee and Senior Curator Kim Blunt in-conversation, as they discuss works on display in ‘About Maitland’. After spending many years away from Maitland, McNamee returned to the place of her childhood in the early 2000s and began to retrace her earliest memories in beautifully sketched landscape images. ‘About Maitland’ began as a homage to the significant structures McNamee walked past as a child of the 1950s, but developed into a visual record of time and place, and what was once the rich agriculture surrounds of Maitland.
