Culture Dose For Kids 9 – 12 years
February 17 | 2:00 pm — 4:00 pm AEDT
Engagement with the arts can help young people connect to their feelings, thoughts and imagination. It can build self-confidence and resilience, foster social connections and improve mental health and wellbeing.
This free program will provide a safe, structured space for young people and their parents/carers to engage with and respond creatively to curated artworks in a small group setting.
Led by Artists/Educators, the program will be held over eight* Saturdays starting 10 February to the 6th of April from 2pm – 4pm. A program for the children’s parents and caregivers will also run at the same time. All art materials, resources and afternoon tea will be provided.
Culture Dose for Kids is part of a research study program in collaboration between the Art Gallery of NSW and the Black Dog Institute and is funded by the Jibb Foundation.
Bookings for the program are via application to make sure the program is the right fit for your child.
